The insolvency-proof guarantee is a legally required safeguard in accordance with Section 7 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). It obliges manufacturers and distributors of electrical and electronic equipment to provide financial assurance in the event of corporate insolvency that the return and proper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is guaranteed.
Without a valid insolvency-proof guarantee, the following penalties may apply:
