The insolvency-proof guarantee is a legally required safeguard under Section 7 of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG4).
It requires manufacturers and distributors of electrical and electronic equipment to provide financial assurance that the take-back and proper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) will be guaranteed in the event of a company’s insolvency.
Without a valid, insolvency-proof guarantee, you risk:
