- 2027: Mandatory EPR registration for each EU destination country and requirement for foreign companies to appoint local authorized representatives.
- 2028: Introduction of EU-wide standardized sorting labels and harmonized pictograms for material identification.
- 2030: Stricter recycling requirements (Class C), minimum recycled content requirements for plastics, and a strict ban on empty space (max. 50%).
- 2038 / 2040: Further tightening of recyclability requirements to Class B, as well as drastically increased recycled content quotas of up to 65%.
